Labour Day Celebration? An unskilled worker regardless of the job description remains a treasure? Labour Day was celebrated at Ursuline Convent Senior Secondary School with full aplomb. The event was conducted by the students of Class I to IV. The function kicked off with a speech welcoming the workers and non-teaching staff and acknowledging their hardwork. The students showed their gratitude by giving cards and flowers to them. Lighting the lamp by the Principal, Sr. Gracy Joseph, and workers marked the beginning of the programme, followed by Class III students giving a brief history on Labours Day. The students of Class III and IV showcased their skills by reciting a poem and a melodious group song respectively. The students of Class II mesmerized the audience with their magnificent dance skills. School Principal congratulated the workers and thanked them for their selfless service. Through her message, she instilled in the students the importance of them in the society. For smooth running of any institution their contribution is priceless. In short, the message was to value yourself.
