National girl child day is celebrated every year on 24th of January as a national observance day for the girl child. This celebration was started to offer more supports and new opportunities to the girls in the country. It is celebrated to increase the awareness among people about all the inequalities faced by the girl child in the society. Inequality about girl child is a vast problem which includes many areas like inequality in education, nutrition, legal rights, medical care, protection, honour, child marriage and so many. |

Ursuline Convent Sr. Sec. School celebrated the Feast of the Immaculate Conception . On December 8th, the feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is observed .This day celebrates the fact that Mary, the Mother of Jesus, in order to be the most perfect vessel for the Savior, was herself conceived without original sin.The Students of Class VIII conducted special morning assembly portraying the same. They presented a skit depicting Mother Mary’s life .The students sang and danced rejoicing the day.The aura was serene thereafter. |

| Christmas Celebration 2022 |
Christmas is a perfect time to celebrate the love of God and to create memories that last forever. On 21st December 2022, Ursuline Convent Senior Secondary School celebrated Christmas with great zeal and enthusiasm. The school wore a festive look with balloons, streamers and beautifully decorated Christmas trees. The Crib reminded everyone about the humble birth of Lord Jesus Christ. The children apprised every one with the beautiful story of the birth of Lord Jesus Christ. They conveyed the beautiful message of love, peace and hope. Carols echoed in the campus of the school. The spirit of giving and sharing was inculcated in the students as they generously donated for the poor and needy. The essence of Christmas came alive when Santa Claus himself came on the stage. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of the children especially when Santa danced with the students. Reverend Sister Celine, the President of Nirmala Education Society congratulated the students for putting up such an incredible performance. She gave the message that without love, the Christmas celebration is meaningless. She reminded all to renew themselves with love and peace in the New Year. |

| Special Assembly on Social Media And It's Effect on Youngsters |
We live in a time and age where information is just a button press away. We are swayed by information all around us. The Gen Y want to know, read, understand and then speak their minds about it. That is where social media comes into play. Social media is one of the biggest elements that we live with and cannot ignore it. Students of Class VII-A threw light on “Social Media": Attitude matters on how one must carefully weigh the positives and the negatives before engaging excessively in Social Media. If used in the correct way social media can be a boon for mankind. The students performed overwhelmingly with different shades of expression. They performed skit, speech and song. Their confidence stole the hearts of the audience. Each one has rightly proved that, “Social Media is about sociology and psychology and not about technology” through this assembly. |

| Food Fiesta (Nursery - UKG) |
The School conducted ‘Cooking without Fire’ competition on 19th December 2022. The competition was conducted with a view to create awareness about the nutritional value of food cooked without flame , the necessity and advantages of healthy eating and to encourage students to stay away from the junk food. Through this activity the students learnt the spirit of teamwork, culinary skills, appreciating the hard work put into cooking. The aim of the activity was also to provide a platform for students to showcase their talent and explore new areas of interest. They served the dishes in an artistic and aesthetic way which was most appealing and the display were a visual treat tickling to the taste buds. |
